The Trump regime makes local elections more important than ever!

Register to vote or check that you’re registered

You can register to vote, online or by mail, or confirm that you’re registered at Illinois’s Online Voter Registration page at vote.gov/register/illinois. You can register to vote at this site until March 1, after which you can register at any polling place. Please check even if you believe you’re registered.

You can also check your registration or register to vote in person at the Election Division office, 421 N. County Farm Road, Wheaton, or at local city, village, or township offices, and some local libraries. Here’s a complete list of locations: vote.ltdo.org/reg-loc. To register, you’ll need two forms of identification, one of which must show your current address. Please register early to make sure you can vote!

You can also register at any polling place when you are Early Voting or on Election Day.

You can also apply to Vote-By-Mail. You may apply for a Vote-By-Mail ballot online at vote.ltdo.org/vbm. You have the option to make this choice permanent. (See below for new rules for postmarking.)

How to Vote

Sample ballots should be available shortly; look yours up at vote.ltdo.org/sample. If the ballot is still for 2025, try again in a few days.

Voting by Mail

Once you receive your paper ballot at home, you must vote with that ballot (see next paragraph if you decide to or must vote in person). Be sure to sign and date the back of the envelope! You may return it:

  • At any voting location, or at the dropbox at 421 County Farm Road, Wheaton. The deadline is March 17. A complete list of dropboxes will be available shortly at vote.ltdo.org/dropboxes. Check back in a few days if the list has not been posted.
  • By mail, BUT, due to a recent USPS change, your ballot will NOT be postmarked the day you mail it unless you request it to be postmarked by hand by a Post Office clerk. Again, the deadline is March 17. Mailing a week before the deadline is probably safe, but it’s best to get a postmark from a clerk or use a dropbox.
  • If you can’t mail your ballot on time, decide to vote in person, or make a mistake on your ballot, bring it to an early voting location or polling place with its official envelope and vote in person. You do not need postage to return your ballot. If you lose it, you can vote provisionally in person (see vote.ltdo.org/provisional).

Once you’ve mailed your ballot, track your ballot here: dupage.ballottrax.net/voter
