Speak Out About the Data Center!

Contact Naperville City Council BEFORE it’s too late!

The Data Center will be surrounded by residences. People think that the I-88 corridor is industrial; however, this area is not as shown in the existing housing. It is my understanding there is another high density subdivision planned and approved across the street to the east of Naper Commons and South of the church. Hundreds of families live here. Data Centers have no place in residential areas or near wildlife or our Forrest Preserves. The noise alone will disrupt wildlife.

This might come up during the City Council meeting at 7PM on Tuesday, Dec. 16, though it is not on the agenda. It’s my understanding that we are behind in votes on this issue. PLEASE email them ASAP.

Indiana GOP rejects Trump’s map in major blow to his gerrymandering push

Indiana Republicans … INDIANA REPUBLICANS!! … rejected a redistricting map that would have carved up the Gary and Indianapolis regions and guaranteed them 100% of Indiana’s congressional seats.

“The GOP-controlled state Senate on Thursday voted down 31 to 19 the map that would have gerrymandered two more safe red seats, imperiling the party’s chances at holding control of Congress next November.”

Alexandra Petri addresses the woke font crisis!

Excerpt from her article in The Atlantic:

Marco Rubio here, with an important announcement: No more Calibri in official State Department communications! Get out of here with your ungarnished lines and provocatively naked terminals! The Biden administration may have shot the serif*, switching from Times New Roman on the grounds that serif-less fonts such as Calibri are more accessible to readers with disabilities. That’s all over now.

* Emphasis mine. What a glorious pun.
