Protect Naperville Wetlands from Pulte on August 18th

Pulte Homes plans a duplex development, called Naperville Ridge, on forested land near two water towers on 75th Street. The DuPage Water Commission has already granted them preliminary approval. The final vote on what will happen to this land will take place at the Naperville City Council Meeting on Tuesday, August 18, at 6 PM.

DuPage County Board Member Lynn LaPlante writes about this in her recent Substack article. It’s a long tale of inaction by many officials, but here’s Lynn’s prescription:

”The Naperville City Council votes on the annexation Tuesday, August 18. Once it’s done, it’s DONE. So if this issue bugs you, or just doesn’t sit right, or you feel moved to take some action, here are some suggestions for you:

  • Yard signs are available at the Lisle Township Democratic Office and by emailing Save75thStWoods@gmail.com.
  • Emails to decision-makers are available automatically through the petition, or by emailing Save75thStWoods@gmail.com.
  • Sign the petition: change.org/p/stop-naperville-ridge-development

1,911 Citizens and Counting have already signed the change.org petition!”
