February Meeting Update

The Lisle Township Dems hosted a great strategy session about how to get people out to vote.  The brainstorming session included ideas on how to overcome obstacles that keep people from going to the polls. The members offered many great ideas, including how to tell your own personal story about why being involved matters to you. Sincere passion speaks louder than statistics.  Yet in the end its the numbers that matter and in March and November. Everyone must talk to their friends and colleagues to encourage participation in our precious democracy.

We also heard from a number of candidates or their representatives. The Democrats have a strong field of passionate candidates in races across DuPage county. We must spread the word that Democrats  have choices in the primary season.
